Like sands through the hour glass.....So are the...

So other than chocolate and junk food, I have a mini-obsession with Days of Our Lives.. I know soap operas are ridiculous but somehow I get captivated! Looking back the plot lines are so unimaginable but if I'm near a TV around 1 PM I need to watch Days!
Being a Days fan runs in my blood though... no I didn't get it from my mom. But of all people my DAD! It's sooo odd to think he used to watch this show (my dad was uber-jock, 3 varsity athlete in high school, played baseball and basketball in college, played baseball in the Cape Cod League etc..) He actually started watching it in college! In between classes and practice, the only thing on was Days of Our Lives so he would watch that! My Great Grandmother used to watch the show too, so he would call home and they would chit-chat about the goings on in Salem (the town it all takes place.)
Though I think the stories are odd and hard to imagine (how can someone die and come back to life? Or be pregnant with twins, each of them having different fathers?) Somehow I still enjoy it.. I really couldn't explain!

Does anyone else watch Days? Anyone else watch a ridiculous show?

  3. I have watched Days for a long time. (probably longer than you have been alive). My husband knows of my addiction. I tape it and watch it at night because I really don't have too many shows I watch at night.
I don't go out of my way to watch it if I am not at home but if I have taped it I will watch.

  5. I used to be so addicted to that show! I would watch it every day when I got home from high school. I can't remember the last time I watched it though.
